Last week Brent and I took Laker to the Ithaca Farmer's Market where they welcome dogs on Sunday mornings. As you can imagine there was quite a lot of action. While we were there we saw a dog roll over on command. Naturally we thought it would be fun to see if we can teach Laker a new trick.
Brent's been working for a good part of the day to convince Laker to "roll over." Laker's beginning to get the idea but is still reluctant to follow on command. He's a great dog and we've been lucky that he was trained with the basics when we meet him at the shelter. He loves to cuddle and doesn't miss a chance to squeeze in between Brent and I whether we're watching a movie on the couch or trying to get some shut eye. Here are a couple of videos where he is being Laker and doing his best to avoid our command :) I'll post some new videos once he finally has it down!
Oh and here is a picture of the beautiful wild flower bouquet that Brent bought me while we were at the market. Hopefully we will have room for growing some wildflowers in next years youth community garden. This year we've grown sunflowers but growing more would enable us to sell bouquets similar to this one at our Arts Market program.
